Don’t miss the World Rugby Museum Wall of Fame
The Wall of Fame was opened at the World Rugby by Martin Johnson on 3rd June 2005.
The ‘Twickenham Wall of Fame’ is a celebration of the best players from all over the world that have ever played at Twickenham Stadium. It gives the players a lasting memorial in the fabric of the Stadium.
Inductees, of which there are currently 91, are unveiled on the date of England international fixtures at Twickenham.
Once ‘inducted’, a player is granted a permanent presence at the Stadium.
The criteria for any inducted player is:
To have appeared at Twickenham in a full international match
To have been retired from the international game
To have achieved ‘greatness’ in their international career
To have played a part in a memorable match at Twickenham.
As well as the wall inside the Museum, the players will be remembered around Twickenham Stadium on blue plaques. See how many you can find when you visit.
